Leicester started the season best of all, winning thirteen out of fourteen fights. Maresca's team could only compete with their upcoming opponents until the beginning of November, but the start of this month brought defeats to Leeds United and Middlesbrough. This allowed third and fourth-placed Leeds and Southampton to close what appeared to be a huge gap on Leicester and increase the pressure on them. However, the Foxes lost only two points in the next seven rounds and already in psychological and practical terms look out of reach. In the centre match of the tour Ipswich Town will be more focused in the home walls, which will allow him to score at least one point.
