The Monégasques create many chances, but also make defensive errors very often. Lens, by contrast, stands out for stability. Since November they have played 15 matches in all competitions, winning 14 of them. The only defeat in this stretch came five fixtures ago — to Marseille (1:3). That could have been the start of a crisis, but after the loss there were wins over Le Havre (1:0), Troyes (4:2) in the French Cup, over Rennes (3:1) and over Paris (5:0). And Monaco beat Lens twice last year, scoring four goals in each — 4:0 and 4:1.
