Manchester City will not achieve an easy victory in London

Brentford, five years ago, finally completed its epic journey from the Championship to the elite division. The promotion was so overdue that only the lazy didn't talk about it. The main difference of the "Bees" from many other clubs was that they managed to establish themselves in the elite division. For four seasons, Brentford has been a mid-table team in the Premier League. This season, the "Bees" started for the first time in seven years without Thomas Frank in the managerial position. The team is now led by Kate Andrews, who is keeping it at a familiar level. For Manchester City, this season is pivotal. Either the Mancunians will be reborn under the guidance of Pep Guardiola, or they will enter a long period of rebuilding. Last season, the "Citizens" experienced a terrible crisis, the echoes of which are still felt. Bookmakers have made the visitors the favourites for the upcoming match, offering odds of 1.63 for their victory. This season, Brentford has shown a high degree of dependence on their home ground. Out of eight official matches, the "Bees" have played four at their stadium. They won against Aston Villa twice (in the league and the League Cup), once against Manchester United, and drew against Chelsea. On the other hand, all their away Premier League matches have been lost, including to newcomers Sunderland and the struggling Nottingham Forest. Since their promotion, Brentford has faced Manchester City in London four times. The visitors have won two of these matches, only one of which was by a margin of more than one goal. On Wednesday, Manchester City travelled to Monaco for a Champions League match. Despite the fact that the Monégasques are not shining even in the French league right now, they managed to take points from Guardiola's team. If it weren't for the scoring genius of Haaland, it would have been difficult for the Mancunians to leave "Louis II" with even one point. In the Premier League, Manchester City has won half of the matches played, but lost to Tottenham and Brighton, as well as drawing with Arsenal. Guardiola's team is relatively stable this season, but they are not yet displaying championship-level football. Manchester City will not bring home an easy victory from their tough away match against Brentford.
