Especially when it comes to Luton Town, which despite the lack of a "big" name, is quite a diligent team, fighting with every opponent regardless of its status. Bookmakers expectedly identified the home team as the favourites, offering odds of 1.20 on their victory. Liverpool have lost only four official matches this season. Two of them took place in the Europa League and did not prevent the Reds from taking the final first place in their quartet. In the English League Cup, the Merseysiders made it to the final, and in the FA Cup with a confident victory over Norwich City made it to the 1/8 finals. Finally, in the Premier League, Liverpool are leading, even despite a fair defeat from London Arsenal in the first match of February. For this unacceptable misfire, the Reds have already apologised to their home fans with two confident victories over Burnley and Brentford with a total score of 7:2. Luton Town spent the end of December and the whole of January as if we are not talking about a survivalist and a newcomer to the division. In seven official meetings during this period, the Hatterboys suffered just one defeat. However, after starting February with a 4-4 draw at Newcastle, Luton Town have lost two home games in a row. Both against Sheffield United and Manchester United the team played quite well, but the lack of class took its toll. At Anfield, Liverpool will further expose their opponent's shortcomings and will beat them with confidence.
