The Swiss club will prove their advantage to the Swedes once again

Lucerne will host the return leg of the second round of Conference League qualification between the representatives of Swiss and Swedish football. In the first meeting a week ago, the Stockholm club scored the first goal in the fifth minute, seemingly beginning to justify their status as favorites. However, after the first half an hour of play Lucerne managed to equalise through Ademi, and fifteen minutes before the final whistle the Swiss club scored a second goal and a willful victory. With equal statistical indicators, the victory was won by Mario Frick's team at the expense of higher class. Bookmakers before the return meeting identified the home team as favourites, offering odds of 2.10 on their victory. Lucerne in the XXI century is one of the most stable clubs in the elite of Swiss football. Firstly, the team 18 years did not fly out of the Super League. Secondly, it finished from third to eighth place 16 times during this period. Last season Lucerne finished in fourth position and will start in the European Cup for the seventh time in the last ten years. The past six "campaigns" ended for the Swiss team with five departures at the first stage of qualification, in one case - at the second. After the victory in Stockholm, the Lucerne players did not relax and won the national championship over the newcomers of the division - Stade Lausanne-Ouchy. Djurgården had a frankly bad start to the season. Already from the first rounds, the Stockholm club started to systematically lose outside their stadium. The trend, dangerous for any ambitious club, stopped only in the summer part of the season, but there was another trouble - the distraction of playing in the Conference League. Jurgården had performed well in the previous edition of the tournament, so the players were looking forward to the start of qualification for Europe's third-tier tournament. After the defeat against Lucerne, the Swedish team won the away game against Mjölby with the score 1-0. Overall, this does not change the bad situation regarding Jurgården's failures in away matches. For this reason, as well as the lower personnel potential, the Swedish club will not be able to claim success in Switzerland.
