The crucial match will not bring many goals

According to the regulations of the Turkish First League, three clubs will qualify for the Super League at the end of the current season. The names of the first two lucky winners have already been determined. Samsunspor and Rizesspor have won direct entry to Turkey's elite division. Another five teams are fighting for one ticket to the Super League in the playoffs. The third-ranked team in the regular season qualifies for the final meeting, while the fourth through seventh-ranked teams battle it out for the right to play in the final meeting. Third-placed Pendikspor will be matched against their rivals in the Eöpspor-Bodrumspor match. These opponents have had a tough start to the play-offs. Eöpspor played away against Sakaryaspor and achieved a very dramatic victory through a goal on 120+2 minutes. That said, the result can be considered fair as Arda Turan's men dominated the game. Bodrumspor won the first half with a 2-0 win over Göztepe that allowed them to hand the initiative to their opponents in the second half. Ismet Tasdemir's side almost paid the price for such an approach, conceding on 85 minutes. Bodrumspor made the situation safe only in the 90-9th minute thanks to a goal by Umar - 3-1. Bookmakers decided the home side as favourites to win the final, with odds of 1.95. Ayupspor, with a 104-year history, have never featured in Turkey's elite championships. Not only that, but it was the 2020/2021 season that saw the Istanbul side return to the First League for the first time since the 1980s. Last season, Eüpspor had already made the league play-offs, but were eliminated in the semi-finals by Bandirmaspor. Bordumspor, like their upcoming opponents, have no historical achievements. Not only that, but the club was still in Turkey's fourth division as recently as the 2016/2017 season. Last season, the team made their way from third place in the Second League to the current division, where they became fourth. The last two games against Eüpspor in Istanbul ended with a low-scoring performance (0-1 and 0-0). A similar development can be expected next Wednesday.
