Chelsea will stop their slump and take at least a point in the derby

One of London's key derbies will be played on Sunday. The rivalry between Tottenham and Chelsea escalated after their head-to-head encounter in the 2015/2016 season, when the Blues couldn't beat the Spurs, leading to Leicester winning the league title early. In addition, that derby ended with a scuffle before the final whistle and twelve yellow cards. The upcoming derby will be held in a situation where Tottenham will be fighting for the fourth place in the Champions League zone till the end of the season, while Chelsea are unlikely to get involved in this fight, as they are mid-table, hopelessly lagging behind the leaders. Graham Potter's potential sacking is not yet on the radar, but the former Brighton coach's performance at Chelsea is dismal, making his eventual departure from the club all but inevitable. Ahead of Sunday's meeting between the metropolitan teams, bookmakers were unable to decide on a favourite, offering a paltry tilt in the odds in favour of Spurs. Tottenham have been consistent in their performances this season. Conte's side have lost to almost all the strongest teams, while they have almost always beaten the midfielders or the underdogs. Since the season resumed at the end of December, Spurs have lost to Arsenal, Manchester City and Milan. Their only win as underdogs came when Manchester City visited them for their second match in two and a half weeks. Last week, Spurs received a visit from West Ham that they beaten by two second-half goals (2-0). Chelsea's results after the World Cup break were beyond the Blue's fans' wildest dreams. Potter's side have only beaten modest Bournemouth and Crystal Palace in eleven games played. The Blues' unbeaten streak now stands at five games, but in the last round, Chelsea seemed to have hit rock bottom. The club, who have spent a total of 600 million euros on squad reinforcements in a year, followed their defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League with a loss at home to the last team in the Premier League, Southampton. Chelsea desperately need to take at least one point out of a match against a well-known rival.
