Monaco will play away against Reims in the eighth round match of the French championship. The game is important for both teams as there are questions about their form. Reims have dropped to 16th place in Ligue 1, having won only one match. That said, Reims have scored in almost every game except the match against Toulouse in the previous round - it ended 0-1. Monaco, on the other hand, are playing on two fronts and are clearly having problems with that. In the middle of the week, the Monegasques lost 0-1 at home to Ferencvaros in the Europa League. Before that, they had three wins in a row: against Nice (1-0), Crvena Zvezda (1-0) and Lyon (2-1). That is not to say that the team are weak or have weak potential. It does not always have enough stability and reliability. Last season, by the way, Monaco failed to beat Reims. One match ended in a 0-0 draw and in the other Reims won 2-1. So despite their modest status, Reims have experience of beating classier opponents.
