Sampdoria will resist the favourites

Sampdoria have had a difficult start to the championship. The Genoa side have taken just two points from five rounds but, interestingly, have done so against Juventus and Lazio. In the last meeting, the team lost 2-1 to Verona. Of all the results that Marco Giampaolo's charges managed to produce, only the devastating defeat by Salernita stands out. In the same game against Atalanta, the team looked very good, as far as games with Torino and Roma are concerned. An important factor for Sampodria this season is the venue. Indeed, they have played their worst games away from home, and all their points have been scored solely at Luigi Ferraris. Milan were victorious in the Derby della Madonina last matchday. "The Rossoneri managed to beat Inter 3-2, although it should be noted that the team showed a rather poor game defensively. Had it not been for Menyan, the triumphator of the match could have been different. Stefano Pioli's side had a controversial encounter in the Champions League. Milan claimed an away game against Red Bull Salzburg, and in four days' time they will return to action against Dinamo Zagreb. And the Bulls completely levelled any attempt by the Rossoneri to advance through midfield. Pioli's team looked confused and some players (De Cetelare) completely dropped out of the game. The game the day before against Sassuolo was no less lacklustre, with a dismal dry draw. Obviously, the team are weaker than last season, but by some inertia they are still going forward. If Pioli doesn't make any changes, the actions of Leau alone will definitely not be enough for the whole season. Tellingly, the proposed bet has played out in the last four meetings between the teams without any problems: three times the Rossoneri have celebrated a victory with a difference of one goal, another time it was a draw. There is no doubt that Milan are stronger than Sampdoria, but the rossoneri's busy schedule gives rise to doubts about their ability to pull off a convincing win.
