We anticipate at least three goals to be scored in the first Merseyside derby of the season

A glorious Merseyside derby will be played at Goodison Park for the first time this season. Liverpool's top teams date back to 1894 and have now played 240 games. To date, the Reds have won 97 games, and the Toffees have enjoyed 67 wins and 76 draws. Their arch-enemies are on opposite sides of the standings. Two tours ago, the clubs were on almost equal footing, not far from the relegation zone. By the sixth round, Liverpool have made their conclusions, but Everton have not. Bookmakers have rated Jurgen Klopp's side's chances of winning as significantly higher. Liverpool started the English championship with two draws and approached their third-round clash against Manchester United as favourites. However, in their third meeting of the season, the Reds managed to lose points to the club from Manchester. The last two matches for Liverpool proved to be real explosions of emotion. First, Klopp's men beat Bournemouth 9-0, then they were the first to concede a goal against Newcastle and snatched victory 90+8 minutes into the game. At the end of the five rounds, Liverpool have settled in sixth place, seven points behind leading Arsenal. Everton's opening story of the season is that the team have yet to find the strength to climb out of the quagmire. In the off-season, the Toffees lost forward Richarlison to Tottenham, while another attacking leader, Calvert-Lewin, flew to the sickbay due to a knee injury. Due to personnel losses, the hosts' attacking play in the upcoming match has become their main problem in the opening stages of the season. Demarai Gray, who scored only five goals for Everton last season, is not doing much as the attacking leader. After two defeats and three draws in five rounds, the Toffees have three points each with Wolverhampton and Aston Villa situated in the relegation zone, but are ahead of them on extra points. In the last two seasons, both of the team's games at Goodison Park have ended with at least four goals. The opponents have enough ambition to break the total in the upcoming meeting as well.
