One can hardly expect more than 5 rounds in this fight

Dustin Poirier - Conor McGregor trilogy will conclude with the main event of UFC 264. The rivalry between the glorious fighters began in 2014, when Conor, even before the fight, intimidated an inexperienced opponent at that time and quickly knocked him out in the first round. Nevertheless, that defeat did not break Poirier, but made him stronger. Subsequently, Dustin had 14 fights in 6 years, of which he lost only two: Khabib Nurmagomedov and Michael Johnson (2016). McGregor, in the meantime, won three times in five fights, losing to Diaz and Khabib. In the second fight against Dustin, Conor was again considered the favourite, but this time the fight was much longer. Dustin chose a very competent tactic for the battle: he withstood the starting onslaught of the opponent, beat off his "front" leg and destroyed it with a classic series of punches. The Irishman will definitely come out to the third fight more prepared, but will this help him against a more technical and versatile opponent? Conor, as before, will "catch" one blow, but this tactic did not justify itself last time. Conor will definitely benefit from active actions at the start when he has an “explosive” advantage. This will most likely end the fight before the start of the 5th round.
