After three group-stage wins, the defending world champions, in extra time, beat Cape Verde and Switzerland, and in the match against Egypt they snatched a victory even after trailing 0-2 at the 81st minute. Argentina’s come-from-behind win was also earned in the semifinal against England. When the match was slowly drifting toward defeat at 0-1, Lionel Messi, Enzo Fernández, and the team found precise and unobstructed routes to Pickford's goal, scoring two crucial goals. Despite such a remarkable journey for Argentina to the final, in the decisive match they will face the cruel reality in the form of an excellent Spanish football machine. The Red Fury will win the World Cup for the second time in history.
