Germany's national football team ended another World Cup in an inglorious fashion this summer. Since 2014, neither any lineup of this national team nor any coach has performed to the expected level. Should we be surprised that Julian Nagelsmann resigned almost immediately after the Germans' sensational exit following a penalty shootout defeat to Paraguay in the Round of 16. The decision to appoint Jürgen Klopp as head coach has significantly brightened the fans' mood and hopes for the team's long-awaited resurgence. The former Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund coach had been out of work for quite a while, but could not turn down the offer from the German Football Association. The arrival of the charismatic national favorite at the helm of the German national team is accompanied by high hopes for its long-awaited resurgence. The Nations League, in this sense, is considered an intermediate stage—a field for Klopp to experiment and try things. This is understood by both the fans and everyone involved with the German national team, which greatly reduces the pressure on the team and makes the coach's task easier. For this current training camp Klopp called up more than forty German footballers to give each candidate for the starting lineup a chance to prove themselves and to find optimal combinations. As of today, the Greek national team coach Ivan Jovanović has twelve players with transfer values of at least 10 million euros and aged up to 28. Greece began its Nations League campaign with an away, hard-fought victory over Serbia. After conceding at the very start of the match in Belgrade, the Greeks managed to come back and score the winning goal in stoppage time added to the second half. Such character and good spirits will be needed by the Greek team to score at least one goal on German soil.
