One of the most interesting aspects of the second round of the Conference League qualifying is the Serbian-Ukrainian matchup. Partizan is a ten-time champion of their country. In almost all recent seasons, the Belgrade club has finished second in the championship, falling behind their bitter rivals, Crvena Zvezda. The last championship title the team won was eight years ago under the guidance of Marko Nikolic. The opening match of the duel with Partizan was also unsuccessful for Nesterenko's team. The match took place in Poland a week ago. The Serbian vice-champions managed to convert two of their eight chances, scoring one goal at the start of each half, while the Ukrainian side failed to score - 0:2. Bookmakers have identified the home side as the favourites for the upcoming match, offering odds of 1.97 for their victory. Partizan is the clear favourite of the duel, but is this club strong enough that the vice-champions of Ukraine, who surpassed Shakhtar Donetsk last season, cannot oppose them for a second match in a row? Partizan started their European journey in the Europa League, where they could not cope with AEK Larnaca. In Belgrade, the Serbs managed to recover from an away defeat, but the Cypriots were luckier in the penalty shootout. Alexandria has played only one official match this season, which may have contributed to their defeat. The team has several new players, which has slightly disrupted the balance of the Ukrainian side. In the return leg, Alexandria will have to attack from the first minutes. Most likely, the match will end without any zeros on the scoreboard.
