As the last days of September approach, Bayern Munich boasts an impeccable record. The season has been ongoing for a month and a half, and the German champions have not suffered a single setback in four competitions. This is despite several injured players in the Munich squad, including Musiala and Davies. It is, however, impossible to win continuously in football. According to the schedule, Bayern faces a challenging October, during which Kompany’s charges will have to share the football pitch with Eintracht Borussia Dortmund, and Brugge, who appears to be a serious contender in the Champions League. Werder has recently been led by Horst Steffen, who spent the last seven years managing Elversberg. He transformed the modest regional league club into a candidate for promotion to the Bundesliga. The Bremen team, known as the "musicians", has not been performing as well as expected, with their defence being their Achilles' heel. Bookmakers have made the home side favourites for the upcoming match, offering odds of 1.08 for their victory. Bayern began the season with a win in the German Supercup against Stuttgart. Subsequently, the Munich team dealt with Leipzig, Hamburg, Augsburg, and Hoffenheim in the national championship, scoring a total of eighteen goals against these four opponents. Bayern has also participated in the Champions League, where they comfortably defeated the current world club champions, Chelsea, at home. Taking into account the cup victory over Wehen, Kompany's team has won seven out of seven matches in a month and a half. Of course, Bayern is in excellent form, but should one expect yet another rout in Munich? Werder started the season with a cup defeat in Bielefeld. In the following four rounds, the "musicians" conceded ten goals, which is currently the main problem in Steffen's tactics. Werder has also faced two German teams in the Champions League - Eintracht and Bayer. They lost to the former, while the latter ended in a draw, which led to the dismissal of Erik ten Hag. Overall, the Bremen club does not have a good record against Bayern, although they managed to beat them in Munich two seasons ago. Werder will try to rectify the situation in defence and perform respectably. This is what fans expect from the "musicians".
