The Russian champion won't be able to take three points away from Kazan.

In Kazan, one of the key clashes of the current matchday in the Russian Premier League will take place. The rivalry between Rubin and Krasnodar has taken on a sharp edge in recent years. Last year, at the Kazan arena, the long winning streak of Murad Musaev's team was halted. That did not prevent the Bulls from becoming Russian champions, but the match between the rivals and the return leg, which took place during Krasnodar's most crucial period at the end of last season, were characterized by a balanced game and extremely high tension. As in the previous year, Rubin does not set major tasks in the Premier League, remaining a solid mid-table side. The Kazan squad sits at a safe distance from the relegation zone and is very far from the Top-6 clubs in the standings. The Krasnodar club this season again contends for the title. Their lead over Zenit is currently one point. While the club from Saint Petersburg has been at the Bulls' heels for most of the season, not allowing them any room for error. Bookmakers have identified the visitors as favorites for the upcoming meeting, offering odds of 1.86 on their victory. Rubin began the second part of the season with a new coach. Kurban Berdyev was replaced by Frank Artiga, who has experience working at Barcelona. During the winter break the Kazan club signed Saavedra, Motorin and Gripshi. Although Makhachkala Dynamo scored both goals from penalties, in terms of play they completely dominated. Rubin lacked Mirlind Daku, a key playmaker who should be back fit for the match against Krasnodar. Murad Musaev's team is once again finding it very hard to ease into the spring part of the season. If previously Krasnodar simply did not win the first matches after the winter break, this time they managed to beat Rostov 2-1, playing frankly poorly. The eleventh-placed team in the Premier League managed to take the initiative in spells even while being a man down. The cup defeat, a one-sided loss in Moscow to CSKA in midweek, confirms that the Bulls still cannot find their game. We'll bet on a favorable result for the home side.
