Inter will confirm their favorite status with a confident victory

After the dismissal of Patrick Vieira, Genoa improved their results. In the last six matches, the team won three times and drew twice. In the last round, the 'Griffons' faced Udinese away. In between these matches, Kivu's team easily defeated Venice 5-1 in the Coppa. Genoa is not the easiest opponent for Inter. In the last five head-to-head meetings, the 'Nereazzurri' have only managed to beat the 'Griffons' twice, drawing points with them three times. Last season at 'Luigi Ferraris', the 'Nerazzurri' were very close to victory. The Genoans managed to equalize only in the 90+5th minute, when Messias was first to the rebound after the penalty. The 'Nerazzurri' did not allow such a scenario in the second round match: the team won narrowly on 'Giuseppe Meazza's' field. The Genoans have not performed well at home against teams from the top half of the table. The 'Griffons' have already lost to Juventus (0-1), Lazio (0-3), and Cremonese (0-2). Inter has won four out of six away matches. Kivu's team lost to Napoli (1-3) and 'the Old Lady' (3-4), but handled less 'rated' opponents without problems. It is also worth noting that the 'Nerazzurri' defeated Roma away. The Eurocup match on Tuesday is unlikely to negatively impact Inter's preparation. Kivu's team intends to reclaim the top spot in the standings and will attempt to do so in Genoa.
