The guests finished the season extremely poorly in the Second Bundesliga, but played their first leg perfectly. On the one hand, this fact should give Braunschweig players confidence, but on the other hand there is no telling where things will go if the visitors score first. Saarbrücken have been quite stable this season. Winless for the team was the period from the beginning of October to the end of January, when Schwarz's wards did not lose in thirteen rounds in a row.
