Spain and Georgia will face off for the first time after the legendary match in Georgian football history at UEFA EURO 2024. Bookmakers have established the home side as clear favorites in the upcoming match, offering odds of 1.13 on their victory. After winning EURO, the 'Red Fury' has not slowed down. The Spaniards steamrolled through their opponents in League A of the Nations League, losing only two points out of eighteen possible in the group. In the playoffs and the 'Final Four' in the first half of 2025, the Spaniards conceded many goals but also scored plenty. Having reached the final, they lost the gold medals of the Nations League to Portugal. While no one would find anything strange in the win against the former, the six unanswered goals in the Turkish city of Konya speak of excellent on-field camaraderie within the 'Red Fury'. After the start of the training camps, Yamal has been withdrawn from the Spain squad, but even without their main star, the home team should manage fine. Georgia began their qualifying campaign with two home matches. In the first, Sagnol's charges lost to Turkey at home (2:3), while in the second, they left no chance for Bulgaria (3:0), leading to the sacking of the latter's head coach. It is hard to imagine that the 'Red Fury' will encounter difficulties in the upcoming match.
