Lille did not lose to any favourites in the Champions League this season without a fight, in general, losing only to Liverpool and Sporting. Of the mid-table teams, the French squad has performed the best at the overall stage. For the sake of a great performance on the European stage, Lille sacrificed a lot on the national stage. "Dogs" flew out of the French Cup from Dunkirk at the stage of 1/8 finals, and in Ligue 1 takes only fifth place with the potential for at least the top 3 division. Borussia Dortmund have collapsed the season in the Bundesliga. The only chance for the Bumblebees to take part in the next round of European cups is to win the Champions League. Only the most detached from reality fan of the team can believe in such an outcome. Niko Kovac failed to clean up Borussia Dortmund, who lost to lowly Augsburg at their stadium last Saturday. The Lille players have plenty of experience of hurting the favourites, they won't be shaking their knees.
