A few weeks after the start of the English league, the Merseysiders appeared before fans from all over the world not only as a dominant force in the Premier League, but also in the Champions League. In the overall stage of the latter, Liverpool won seven times in a row and only PSV lost in a match, at that time no longer decisive of anything significant. And not for nothing, for the first time in months Liverpool will take the field as underdogs. PSG have picked up a form that intimidates the whole of football Europe. And it's not even about Brest, defeated by the Parisians with a total score of 10-0. It's about the sheer level of play and the ease of the players on the pitch, who have looked significantly better against both Manchester City and Stuttgart, Monaco, Lyon and many other opponents over the last couple of months. Luis Enrique's side have not lost a single game in the French league, are leading by a huge margin and have reached the semi-finals in the French Cup. Liverpool are also close to solving all the issues in their national championship, so the key ambitions of the club are already located on the continental arena. That said, the Reds have not looked as formidable in recent weeks as they did in the second half of 2024. Liverpool have won just three times in their last six official meetings.
