In Leipzig, a local club will delight its fans

Leipzig began a journey in 2009 that qualitatively sets it apart from clubs with a century or more of history. The founders of the project created fifteen years ago set the goal of bringing the team to the Bundesliga in eight years. In the championship, the Bulls are in sixth position, competing with four clubs for two positions in the Champions League zone. In the German Cup, Marco Rosé's team easily made it through the early rounds, scoring four goals each against Essen and St Pauli. The Bulls produced an even more convincing result in the 1/8 finals, when they defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 at home. Given that there are no serious opponents left in the national cup, except for Bayer and Stuttgart, Leipzig will definitely not hesitate to bet on winning the tournament. Wolfsburg, of course, has its own plans for the German Cup. In it, the "wolves" started with a 1-0 win over Koblenz. In the 1/16 finals Wolfsburg became the author of the loudest sensation, knocking Borussia Dortmund out of the tournament with a 117th minute goal. At the last cup stage, the club confidently defeated Hoffenheim 3-0. In the first round of the Bundesliga, Wolfsburg defeated Leipzig away with a score of 5:1. Another thing is that then the team was in great shape and went on a winning streak. Now "wolves" have one victory in the last six official meetings. Leipzig players, in turn, will additionally adjust for the match, remembering the humiliation of the opponent in the championship.
