The Danes will exchange goals with formidable opponents

Second from bottom in terms of probability of winning the Nations League, the national team will face one of the leaders of continental football of the last decade at the quarter-final stage. Before the start of the play-offs, Denmark's title can be bet at odds of 23.0 while Portugal are much lower at 5.00. At least on the Scandinavian team such offers look reasonable. The Danes several last big tournaments were considered contenders for the late stages of the playoffs, but the "golden generation" of this national team has not justified itself. At best, Eriksen and company were eliminated in the early stages of the playoffs, at worst they didn't even make it past the group stage. Portugal are the first winners of the Nations League and are always among the favourites. Roberto Martinez's squad is rated as the third most expensive among the remaining participants in the tournament after Spain and France. Bookmakers have identified the guests as favourites for the upcoming meeting, offering odds of 2.16 on their victory. Denmark became the second team in the A-League to reach the play-offs with eight points. For example, in the four groups of League B, only one team - Ukraine - had such luck. This was largely due to the weakness of the Scandinavian team's rivals - Serbia and Switzerland. The latter failed to win the tournament at all. Important for the proposed bet is the fact that Denmark scored in all three home matches of the group, including against the strongest team in Europe - Spain. Another thing is that the Scandinavian national team systematically fails in important confrontations. It is hard to believe, but a team with such a set of players did not win any of the seven matches of the past world and continental championships. Portugal went through the group stage without losing a single game. Another thing is that Ronaldo's team conceded in five of the six matches in the quartet. They scored in the same number of matches. Beyond the "pattern" came the confrontation with Scotland in Glasgow, where the Portuguese failed to break through the "bus" of the local football team. Denmark and Portugal are likely to start their duel with a result.
