Brest and Lyon can show effective football
In the match of the 17th round of the French championship Brest will play at home with Lyon. The meeting promises to be interesting, because Lyon are still in the European Cup zone and expect to gain a foothold there, despite serious financial problems and the need to part with some of the valuable players. Brest are now in the Champions League, but their current results in Ligue 1 are far from those of last year. Earlier, he managed in the French Cup with Fenier Aulnoy (2:1), lost in Ligue 1 to PSG (1-3) and beat Eintracht (3:2) in the Europa League. Lyon have thus lost only one of their last 12 matches in all tournaments. In six of the seven previous meetings, victory was achieved. In general, despite all the problems and rumours, Lyon shows a decent game. Last season Brest beat Lyon 1-0 at home. And Lyon on their field coped with the Bretons with a score of 4:3 in a dramatic confrontation.
