Dynamo will beat a hopeless outsider on class

On Sunday, 14 April, Ural will play at home against Dynamo. The game has a colossal tournament significance. Viktor Goncharenko's wards are one of the main contenders for relegation. After two defeats Dinamo risks losing even a place in the top three. "White-Blue" were the shadow favourites for the championship race. At some point, the odds on Lichka's team's title dropped to 4.50, but two defeats in a row is a verdict on the gold medals. It remains at best to fight for the second position. Dinamo played two completely different matches in terms of quality. First, the team lost with a big score to Rostov. Marcel Licka complained about the difficult schedule due to the international break. And then came the embarrassment of goalkeeper Igor Leshchuk. The goalkeeper made two mistakes and gave Spartak the victory. Dynamo certainly did not deserve to lose, if we take into account the quality of play. It is very likely that the experienced Anton Shunin will return in goal. This should give some calmness to the defence. Otherwise, Dinamo's game looks solid. It's very likely that the club will regain its form after the offensive setback and produce a winning streak. Ural has not lost in only one of the four games in the second part of the season. The team from Ekaterinburg surprisingly manages to succeed in the Russian Cup, although the depth of the squad doesn't even come close to that. Viktor Goncharenko's side picked up a draw against Spartak on the road in the Russian league, while the rest of their games were defeats. The key fiasco could be the home game against Krylia Sovetov. The hosts managed to lose to an opponent without any tournament motivation. Since September 2023, Ural has won the Russian championship only once. At the moment, no special claims can be made against the coach. Ural has almost the weakest squad in the league. The coach is trying to look for options. In particular, he trusts the young talent Ishkov more, but his efforts are clearly not enough to radically change the situation. In the first round Dynamo got a hard-earned victory over Ural with the score 2:1, but at that time the opponent was not in such a fatal crisis. The Muscovites will go to Ekaterinburg with increased motivation - to play only for victory. There is a gulf in individual skills between the two clubs. There are no problems with the pitch in Ekaterinburg. On a quality pitch Dinamo can easily weave their cunning combinations. A comfortable victory for the favourite on class. At the moment the odds on the Muscovites look overvalued. It is very likely that the quotes will be lowered closer to the match.
