The new season in the German Bundesliga has started quite interestingly. Some teams disappointed the pre-start expectations of their fans (Borussia Dortmund, Cologne), while others played above expectations (Stuttgart, Hoffenheim). However, only two clubs in Germany's elite division have picked up the maximum number of points after three rounds. They will meet in the centrepiece of the fourth round of the Bundesliga, which will also be the opening game of the day. If Bayern are always expected only to win, Bayer's result is a source of admiration for the Leverkusen fans. Especially against the background of the start of last season, when the "pharmacists" were one of the worst teams in the championship. Bookmakers have identified the home team as clear favorites to win in Munich, offering odds of 1.58 on their victory. Thomas Tuchel for the first time fully prepared Bayern for the season. The club's key acquisitions in the off-season were Harry Kane and Kim Min-Jae, who together cost the German champion 150 million euros. Of the more or less notable losses over the last three months, Bayern have had to sell Sadio Mane, Benjamin Pavard and Lucas Hernandez. In the first official game of the season, Tuchel's men gave their fans a big scare when they lost the German Super Cup to Leipzig 0-3. On the one hand, with three consecutive league wins over Werder, Augsburg and Borussia M, the Munich club reduced the level of excitement. On the other hand, the victory over Gladbach in the last round was a willful one, and one can't say that it was too confident. Bayer made up for the nightmare start to last season in the second round, squeezing the maximum out of the situation: a final sixth place and a ticket to the group stage of the Europa League. In the off-season Bayer spent quite an active transfer campaign. Grimaldo, Boniface, Dzaka, Hofmann and Arthur joined the team. Moussa Diaby, who moved to London West Ham for 55 million euros, as well as Demirbay, Bakker and Paulinho left the "pharmacists". The transfer policy was successful and turned out to be three wins over Leipzig, Borussia Gladbach and Darmstadt 98. As a rule, Bayer manage to impose a serious fight to the champion, which can be expected in the upcoming meeting.
