Rune will be successful in the final match at the tournament in Rome

Russian number one Daniil Medvedev will face Holger Rune of Denmark in the Rome Masters final. The 20-year-old Rune had a tough tournament in Italy but made it to the title match. May 17, Rune reached the quarterfinals of the tournament in Rome, where he sensationally defeated the legendary Novak Djokovic 6-2, 4-6, 6-2 in three sets. And yesterday Holger beat Casper Ruud of Norway 6-7 (2-7), 6-4, 6-2 in three sets. The 27-year-old Medvedev has made the most significant strides on the court this season. Daniel has said many times before the Masters, but also during the tournament in Italy, that he felt great and ready to fight for the title. However, it seemed that he could still be stopped on the ground, especially yesterday, but so far Medvedev remains unstoppable in Rome. Daniel has now won three consecutive victories by 2-0 in sets. Yesterday Medvedev sensationally defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece 7-5, 7-5 in two sets. The two players had one hour and forty five minutes on the court. However, the match had to be postponed due to rain. Daniil Medvedev and Holger Rune played each other on April 14 in the quarterfinals of the Monte Carlo Masters. Rune won 6-3, 6-4 in two sets on a clay court in Monaco. In the final match Rune is the favourite with the bookmakers. We can hardly expect a sensation. Medvedev has spent too much effort and it is unlikely that he can achieve another success. We should bet on Rune to win.
