Barcelona and Khimki will play an aggressive game

Barcelona completely failed its Euroleague campaign and this match will put an end to the teams suffering. In September, when the team’s roster was known, it was already evident that the Catalan grand will play offensively: fast-paced game with an emphasis on three-pointers. Yet, something happened to be wrong with the previous coach, Alonso: issues with defense and unstable results when attacking crippled Barcelona’s performance. The new coach Pešić chose to go all-offensive, realizing that it is too late to improve the team’s defense. Realistically, the performance somewhat improved since Pešić got in charge, as the team started to score (and miss) a lot. Khimki made it to play-off a long time ago and now are struggling for the higher ranks. Bartzokas did not manage to establish a solid defense, but improved Shved’s performance, who was forced to play less individually, is now a formidable factor in the team’s performance. As their opponent, Khimki is known for their aggressive manner of play, and their roster ensures that the team will try and outrun their opponents whenever possible. However, Khimki, again, as well as their opponent, has issues with defense, and that is likely to lead to a lot of successful counterattacks. The match promises to be prolific.
