Norwich game opponents will not score more than two goals on Tuesday

One of the key fixtures in the Championship round of 16 will see the teams from the leading group. Norwich are currently third in the table, one point behind Burnley and Sheffield United. Luton Town, on the other hand, are in seventh place, three points short of their upcoming opponents. The visitors to this encounter are playing at about the same level as last season, in which they took part in the play-offs for the right to promotion. In the upcoming encounter, bookmakers have expectedly identified the Canaries as the favourites, offering equal odds on their victory and the guests to score at least one point. Norwich City were the last team in the Premier League last season, but managed to effectively rebuild their management in the second division and, after a bit of initial slippage, settled near the top of the Championship table. From mid-August to mid-September, the Canaries extended their six-win winning streak to early October. On the other hand, Smith's side are coming into the game against Luton Town with two defeats in a row. Norwich's opponents in the last 10 days have been Preston and Watford, who have scored a combined total of five goals against the Canaries. Previously, their defensive prowess has been the bane of the home team in the last two rounds and they should pay closer attention to it on Tuesday. After a dominant start to the season, Luton Town Town are yet to get off to a good start to the season. The first five official matches of the season brought them two points in the league and a relegation from the FA Cup. However, from the third decade of August, Luton Town levelled their playing form and in the next ten games in the Championship, they lost only to Wigan when, winning 1-0 on the road, they conceded twice shortly before the final whistle. Last Saturday, they played one of their direct rivals QPR and confidently beat the capital club 3-1. In the last five matches between the opponents, there have been numerous goals scored. The average efficiency of these matches since 2018 has been four goals per game. That said, nothing bodes well for continued statistical consistency on Tuesday. Norwich will focus on defence, while Luton Town are unlikely to be too active in attack.
