We expect an entertaining match, even though there is no intrigue in the final result

Sweden's Malmoe have swapped their Champions League qualification for Europa League qualification too early in the season, according to local fans. The first meeting between the opponents at the Stadion Eleja a week ago was in favour of the Swedish champions from the opening minutes, but the home side only started to score after the break when they were on the powerplay. Three unanswered goals against a bleeding Dudelange left little intrigue for the return leg, but the Luxembourg club will certainly try to be competitive in the home side. Dudelange also began this season's Eurocup journey in the Champions League as champions of their country. They defeated Albanian Tirana in both of their opening qualifying matches, then got off to a flying start in the second round, with a 1-0 away win over Pyunik. In the return leg against Armenian champions Dudelange were a dismal 4-1 defeat, underlining their lack of class to continue their good run. In the first leg against Malmo, the Luxembourg champion's objective personnel weakness compared to the Swedish team was evident. Malmö started their European Cup journey with a 6-5 aggregate victory over Vikingur, but already the next round of Champions League qualification was fatal for them. Against Žalgiris, the Swedish champions were the clear favourites, but managed to lose both games to the Lithuanians without scoring a single goal. After playing in the group stage of the last UEFA Champions League with Juventus and Chelsea, this Eurocup campaign could be described as a fiasco. This season, despite a good squad, Malmö are playing worse than in the past, not only in European competitions, but also in the national championship. Dudelange proved their relative suitability for European competitions in full last season, so we cannot consider the club as an outsider in the return game against Malmoe. And the Swedish champions of the current form do not have much power, which leaves the hosts of the upcoming match, at least, chances to score. Most likely, the return match will be played in open style and will end in goals by both teams.
