Dimitrov is showing good play at this year's Monte Carlo Masters. At the start of the competition Grigor got past Nikoloz Basilashvili on the bounce. Then in the second round he defeated Dusan Lajovic 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 in three games. In the 1/8 finals, Dimitrov beat Kasper Ruud of Norway (6-3, 7-5). Recall that once on the local courts Dimitrov played in the semi-finals. That happened in 2018. At that stage of the tournament, he lost to Rafael Nadal (4-6, 1-6). Gurkac, surprisingly, is performing well even on his not-so-favourite surface. Last season the Pole got just one win in six matches on clay. This year, Hubert has three wins in three games on the court. On the road at the Monte Carlo Masters, Gurkacz is coming off back-to-back victories over Hugo Dellien (7-5, 6-4), Pedro Martinez (6-3, 4-6, 6-4) and Albert Ramos-Vinolas (7-6, 6-2). It's going to be a tough match. Both tennis players will try not to make mistakes and, above all, to take their serves. In such a situation, the first set could drag on. It is better to bet that at least 10 games will be played in the opening game.
