The Norwegian side, led by Erling Haalland's scoring talents in the draw of the Nations League, could win Group 4 and qualify for League A as early as the fifth round. The Scandinavian side currently have ten points, with Serbia seven points as their closest and only rival. The Swedes and Slovenians in this quartet are already fighting solely to retain their place in the second-tier division of the Nations League. In the upcoming match between these two tournament-motivated teams, bookmakers have the visitors as favourites, offering the same odds as the home team to win at least one point. The Norwegian side, in the current Nations League, have finally found a balance between defence and the effective use of their main star, Erling Halland. On the one hand, the Scandinavian side have conceded a combined total of just three goals in four games, while on the other, the Manchester City striker has scored five of his side's six goals. That would allow the Norwegians, after their disappointing qualification for the World Cup, where they finished third in their group behind the Netherlands and Turkey, to lead their own quartet and contend for promotion to the Liga A. The Slovenians are not surprised with the results, but will come into Saturday's match no less motivated. The team competed in League C last season, finishing first against Greece, Kosovo and Moldova. As confident as Slovenia have been in the lower division, they are just as unsure of their performance this season. Kek's side lost their first two group games to Sweden and Serbia without much of a chance, after which they took the lead with two draws. Against Norway, the Slovenians were held to a 0-0 shutout in the last half an hour, before edging Serbia 2-2 in hard-fought fashion. The Slovenian side are certainly not lacking in character and will be reluctant to concede to the group favourite. Slovenia, despite an overall setback, looked decent in World Cup qualifying and did not lose without a fight. In Ljubljana, the hosts will have to pick up at least one point to have any chance of staying in Liga B. We'll bet on their overall success.
