The four-time world champion will confidently beat their opponents at the home arena in Leipzig

The most exciting situation among all the groups in the A-League of Nations is in Group 4. Here, before the penultimate round, the sensational Hungary, who after the draw in the quartet with England, Italy and Germany looked like clear outsiders, are in the lead. Rossi's side have picked up seven points in four rounds and are one point ahead of Germany. Italy now have five points and England have two. Bookmakers see only mathematical odds of an English win in the group - odds of 100 - before the fifth game day. They also have little faith in leading Hungary at 5.7. Analysts have identified the Germans as the favourite of both the upcoming match and the group, with the chance of coming out on top should they win on Friday at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig. The German national team qualified for the upcoming World Cup last year in one breath, scoring 27 points out of a possible 30. In the Nations League, however, the Germans ran into problems straight away. Flik's charges finished all three of their opening-round games against England, Italy and Hungary with the same score of 1-1. Only the encounter in June highlighted the German side's superiority over their direct Italy: 5-2. The German side are coming into the fifth round of the Nations League with a full squad and some serious ambitions. The four-time World Cup champions have not won anything useful for a long time, and a win against Hungary will open the door for them to the Final Four. The last two years have been mixed but eventful and revealing of some progress for the Hungarian national team. On the one hand, the Hungarians made some noise in the European Championship group and won their group in the League of Nations B last season. On the other hand, Hungary failed to be competitive in World Cup qualifying. It is worth noting that the Hungarians have met the Germans twice in the last year, and both matches ended in a draw. In Friday's encounter, Germany should no longer underestimate their opponent or treat them with arrogance. Hungary are a direct competitor that must be beaten with confidence to take the lead before the final group meeting in England. It is a good bet that Germany will win by at least two goals.
